Rosy bush

Loved her front garden

So did her partner

Gladys Ola

That was before you moved in

And had it paved over,

Ah this time yester year

When buds, birds, and bees would appear

No more gentle buzzing now

Just the mechanical humming

Of you jet washing,

Again, and again your uniformly plain

Aesthetically mundane

Block paving
